Excellent way of adding DRL to a car
I really like this product. One tip from someone who has installed these on two cars. Make sure to wire up the blue wire to an accessory power circuit to be sure the lights stay on when the ignition is on. Just follow the wiring instructions for hybrid, electric, and stop-start vehicles no matter what car you drive. Without that wire hooked up, the unit operates by detecting alternator signal. That is simply not as reliable a way to detect ignition on as simply getting power on an accessory circuit. They designed these for ease of install and they are just that. Skipping that wire saves a few minutes but you’ll find your lights turning on and off occasionally, especially on older cars. Enough of that: they are beautiful. 9 bright LED’s on each side. They dramatically improve the visibility of your car on country roads and save you having to run your headlights and waste bulbs. Really take your time finding the perfect spot for them. They work on up to a 40° angle on the front-end but be CERTAIN you use the left light on the left and the right light on the right, especially if your mounting point is raked at an angle. These aren’t cheap but they beat the pants off of the cheap stuff and work reliably. The only comparable product is from Hella and I’m sold on Philips. These are better than the Daylight 8 (which is only 4 LED’s per strip).

great lights, but...
I just installed these lights in my custom headlight clusters. They are bright and strong, and they work as advertised. However, when I installed my lights and turned the car on, the lights cycled on and off every few seconds. It turns out that the regulated voltage on US cars is different from European market vehicles so it wasn't proper voltage to keep the lights on. My fix was to wire the blue hybrid-stop-start wire to a key activated power source. That way, the lights activate and stay on any time the ignition key is in the on position. The orange "kill" wire will still turn off the DRL's when your parking lights come on, so all is well.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Another Great Product from Philips
The reason I purchased a Philips light set was quality, and I was not disappointed. The daylight driving lights are sealed in a sound aluminium casing and come with a full wiring harness and clear instructions. Easy to install and OEM high quality

Excellen quality DRL
There are many options if you want to add DRLs to your car, even from one maker there are several. If I could do it over
If I could do it over I would buy Philips LED DayLight 8. A couple of features the 8's have over the 9's. The 8's stay on at night with a reduced brightness the 9's turn completely off. GREAT LIGHTS
