Functionality, value, lightweight...
This machine is the best value out there. It's nothing to set up; took me and 1 friend 15 minutes to attach the foot and some small pieces and that was it. Using your own body weight is just fine for a beginner and the resistance bands are a wonderful option as you get stronger. It is pretty long but not nearly as heavy as I thought it'd be, make sure you have ample room for the length. Great Value
This machine is a great value. Very sturdy construction, and unlike other similar units, it has bungee-like tension cords that allow the user to add tension. My wife and I both use it and love it. Note that the picture does not show the unit fully extended for use. It's about twice as long as pictured. It is easy to use, easy to adjust and a great value at less than half of name brand competitors. Not A good choice for people with severe spinal stenosis back issues
This review must be taken in the context of my spinal condition. I have little doubt that it is in every way equal to or better than the Total Gym. However, with a severe lower back disability the Weider is: 1. too heavy to move and set up 2. my back prohibits my using the gym as intended 3. Instructions are seriously insufficient 4. Cannot use at all and therefore a total waste of money. I have an as new, assembled Weider which does not appear desirable in the resale market. $150 is a significant amount to spend on equipment, though likely a good choice for most users, is a waste for me. Be cautious: If you have a similar back disability, and even if your professional rehab therapist highly recommends it, the odds are you too will be unable to benefit from an otherwise good, solid design. Quality vs name brand

Easy to use and meets most needs
Had a total gym which developed problems about a year in with the rollers on the bench. replaced them and had problems about a year in. replaced them had....... you get the picture. the rollers on this machine seem much firmer and I'm hopeful will last a few years at least. I use the machine twice daily for stretching and flexibility more than building up muscle. I have it set to the highest setting and with the bands it is a great workout. Don't need (or want) more than 20 minutes per workout to get what I need. as with any device made for the masses there are things I'll never use and things I wish it had but the way it comes is just fine for my purposes.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Quality Equipment for Your Entire Body!
Exercising with the total gym provides fitness to all of your muscles. Easy assembly...my only complaint is that it did not come with diagrams of all possible exercises. An exercise video would have been very helpful. However after searching the internet, I found a video. The shipping carton does show a few of the various exercises. I Like It
You can get a work-out with this. Easy to put together and I'm 57, not large. Do have back issues so just took my time setting it up and it still didn't take me long. Seller was easy to work with. I'm satisfied. Price is reasonable. So for good quality for the money, reasonable cost including shipping, easy set up and nice seller, Its a 4-5 rating. I will go ahead and give a 5 although it would be nice if it came with a laminated poster of the different exercises you can do on it. It does show them on the box so I cut that portion of the box out and use it, also took a couple pics of pictures on the box and saved on the computer. Move over, Chuck Norris and Total Gym - Weider Ultimate Bodyworks wins!
I have been under doctors' orders to lose weight and to strengthen my body. I thought this machine is ideal with many exercises to choose from, including the Pilates exercises. After looking at different brands of this type of machine, I decided to buy Weider Ultimate Bodyworks because it is affordable, that it is of good quality and it is perfect for beginners like me. It is perfect because it doesn't take up much space in my small apartment. One drawback is that this machine doesn't come with an exercise chart and I had to order the Total Gym chart separately. Weilder total gym
I could see results in just about 1.5 weeks. The gym is easy to use. It is a little heavy. The gym dosent come with a diagram poster of positions so when you start maby keep part of the box! Putting the gym together was really simple. The gym is easy to clean. I have had no trouble keeping up with a routine that includes working out because the gym is so simple. The machine uses weight resistance from your own body which really strengthens when using the gym. The gym has 4 additional resistance bungee bands that increase the amount of resistance and add stress to build muscle. Each band is separated by a notch so you can choose to use 1, 2, 3, or 4 bands of resistance. The machine works so well that I could see back muscles in just a week and a half. Butt muscle too a little longer. Waist line trimmed down and tummy started to become much tighter. The machine functions as described by the manufacturers'.
