This things slams and is capable of so much in such a small package.
I was able to score this cheap and wanted a Moog with serious bass in my rig. It's perfect for that with all the snarling bass to screaming leads with the classic Moog configuration! It's small, light and can hook it up to your computer and run it through any program like garage band or what not and use it as a little, portable practice rig. That's why the full size keys with action on it is so important. I love it!
It’s wonderful from every angle. The sound is and the functionality is completely legit. Excellent build quality, well crafted for sure. The hype is real. Great for travel; just the right size for portability and setting up randomly.
Endless knobs and combinations. 100% sick.
The Moog Sub Phatty is a very enjoyable synth. great sounds and can be very Minimoog on a lot of settings. The only things holding it back so far are the lack of keys ( 25 keys seem to limit a possible melody sometimes) and the hidden functions, for instance LFO reset would have been great to have as a button as this one matters a lot. It also needs a fast way to tune the oscillators and control volume of notes up and down the keyboard as the highs tend to be louder and off tune compared to the lower notes, on a lot of settings. I have a Beastep on the way so I can program the hidden settings to each have a pad or knob. I also wish it could be duophonic or paraphonic and I hope there is a way to add this feature with a future firmware version. other than that it is a wonderful synth with a wide range of sounds and it covers vintage very well, which is what i wanted it for
