Martin Logan Motion 35XT ElectroMotion Speakers
The sloped-top cabinets have nicely tapered corners so there’s not a sharp edge in sight, and the way the glossy black (or cherrywood) lacquer frames the brushed aluminium baffle oozes style. The ‘XT’ stands for ‘extreme’ and the 35XT lives up to that moniker with a bigger 16.5cm aluminium cone driver (up from 13cm in the 15 model) and the trademark Martin Logan folded-ribbon tweeter, which the company claims creates a fast transient response that requires a lot less excursion than a typical dome tweeter. The sound: We I have no words to express, the sound is so beautiful - and the room lights up the the music, and feel like I am listening to a personal concert live. These speakers are additional to our other Martin Logan speakers. The soundstage is big, bold and assertive, and it doesn’t take more than a song’s introduction to recognise that the 35XTs favour warmth and richness over absolute crispness. Play The Fellowship from The Lord Of The Rings and it has no problem conveying the orchestration’s sweeping vista, getting behind the piece’s galloping sections and dramatic crescendos. From drums to clarinets and piccolos to pianos, instruments sound startlingly lifelike – accurately discriminating between the various woodwinds. Dynamics ebb and flow nicely, though aren’t quite as subtle or far-reaching as some rivals. It is quite clear with my experience that if the investment has to be made in good speakers, then this is the answer for audiophiles and also non audiophiles who love music. The Martin Logan 35XTs aren’t quite the nimble performers their smaller siblings are – more get-up-and-go wouldn’t go amiss – and I would disagree with any one saying that "they aren’t the most talented or all-round speakers on the market". They are the most talented all-round speakers -- and you don't have to be a genius to recognize it. Overall, these are the best speakers - a big bang in an small package. Love it..

I feel Dooped
I recently purchased a pair of "NEW" MartinLogan Motion 35XT's. Unfortunately the items were not as described. One speaker did appear to be new while the other showed visible scratches and was labeled a refurbished unit. What ever happened to being honest. I could have bought a refurbished or scratch and dent speaker for about 350 bucks. I payed the higher price expecting to get new but got dooped instead.

Powerful sound in a Bookshelf Monitor
Tight bass for its size with open natural sound and clear vocal sound. High quality look and feel . Magnetic grill beautifully designed.
