Marantz Rules
This beast is not for the "non-technically" oriented individual, but is definitely a top of the line 11.2 channel receiver. I use it mainly for the decoding capability, as I have separate power amps for all channels. If you haven't experienced Dolby Atmos with two front height speakers and two rear height speakers (combined with the standard 7.1 channels), you don't know what you are missing ! Once you've experienced IMMERSIVE sound, you will never go back to a standard 5.1/7.1 setup. Hint: You will need 2 channels of external amplification as this amp only provides 9 amplified channels. I just used an old Sony receiver that was laying around that had pre-amp inputs to amplify the last two channels and presto....11.2 channels of glorious audio!!! Marantz SR7009 is awesome!
I just updated my receiver to the SR7009 from a RXV300 Yamaha. Wow! Aides set is great, and insanely easy to use. I used to spend hours trying to get my system sounding like I wanted it to, now it takes 15 minutes, and sounds better than ever before? It may take a year or so for me to figure out everything this unit is capable of, but I am having a ball doing it! I guess I am just a big old kid. I guess I am truly "Old School" because I really do miss a printed owners manuel, though I must say the digital version is done well.I think it has over 300 pages.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Needs more muscle
Very nice receiver just a little down on power. Coming from a Pioneer SC-75 with D3 amps this Marantz just wasn't quite strong enough or clean enough. Very easy to set up though.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht
