Very Good, But Not Great
When I decided to buy this receiver, I knew I wasn't going to get audiophile sound quality. So, I'm not disappointed that the sound is only very good - not blow you away stupendous. I think the receiver has one of the best feature sets in its price range and it has more than enough power for my speakers. My only real complaint is that the control interface is not at all intuitive. I have no problem using almost any technology, but I definitely needed the owner's manual for this baby. Great for the $$$$
I'm not a guy to write reviews but I knew I had to after the reviews I have read almost steered me away from this receiver! It is NOT hard to use! All the info is on the internet, this is coming from a tech-stupid guy who doesn't own a cell phone or on facebook like the rest of the lemmings! Sound quality is great, enough power to piss off the neighbors, and used for $250 shipped what more do you need? Bottom line, buy it if you get a good price and fully working. Yes a new Yamaha unit is $800 and probally better, so be big pimpin and whip out your credit card and shell out that big money you cant afford. Excellent sound
Paired this receiver with Klipsch speakers to get super sound. This receiver has all the bells and whistles that I wanted and then some. I like to listen to loud music and this does the trick. At loud levels the sound is crystal clear.
