Reference quality headphones at a fraction of the High-End price.
I’m an audio professional, and not easy to please when it comes to headphones and speakers. I find the popular brands mostly unlistenable, and even high-end $2000+ headphones to be colored, showy, or just plain wrong. For me, neutral and smooth is the goal. I first heard these at an audio show a few years ago, and have wanted a pair since, just had other priorities. Ok...
I have a few pair of cans that i use for mixing and recording vocals. The significantly cheaper sure srh440 (10 year old pair) with a side by side comparison. Same songs, same output devices, same listener...the srh seem to have a crisper sound. The design of the the 1540 are nicer and feel alot more modern. They are light weight and although the cord is short on the 1540, it is tangle free. It has more impedance than the 440 as well so, a quality amplifier/dac would probably bring out the capabilities in these but just plug and play, i wasnt impressed for the price. It does have a higher top end advertised but i simply cannot hear it without amplification (in comparison). They are much more comfortable for extended wear. I guess if were to pick a set for everyday use, id probably go with the 1540...but for a relatively cheaper set of cans that has a pretty close performance, id say the 440.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Great Headphones for Tracking/Mixing
The midrange clarity and sound staging of these headphones is incredible. Bass is slightly more pronounced than some, but not to the point of being inaccurate. Using a good headphone amp helps to even the response and reveal their true potential. Really great headphones for their price
Comparing to more expensive Beyerdynamic T5p I was using before, these headphones have a similar more or less neutral sound signature, and exceptional clarity, producing very wide and spacious sound. They are very lightweight, and sit comfortably on the head. Their cables are suited more towards indoors use. The Best Studio monitors

Should be one of the best closed-back headphones.

Natural Sound
