Don’t waste time on a cheaper alternative, buy this one!
Initially I purchased a cheaper generic version of this filter at half the price and despite endless flushing I continued to get black bits in my water & ice. Decided enough was enough and purchased this genuine LG filter, initially when I flushed through I got some black cloudy water but that soon clears and no more black bits in water & ice. I feel assured that I am getting cleaner filtered water as it is very clear coming out from my fridge. Although it was difficult to dismantle at first, if not for a plumber I had there at the time to advise how to do it, I think it would still be there unused. does the job and doesn’t leak

the version sent to me hadnt got the ARROW printed or moulded into the case as it should have,thus causing a problem.
