Donaldson and Scheffler have done it again!
I will admit to being a fan, so a slightly biassed review! I am a dad in my 50s and still love reading these books to the kids. The scarecrows wedding is not quite in the same league as the Gruffalo, but it is a lovely story and the rhymes flow well (I found parts of "Zog" a bit awkward to read aloud). My favourite is still "Room on the broom" but this one is well worth having. The characterisation is good, and the story has a good balance of fun and suspense.
