Good & rare TPM 1.2 module, built by ASUS. Also workable on other brand mainboards.
Intel TPM (Trusted Platform Module) has two major versions: 1.2 & 2.0. TPMs are very common on branded PC / servers, e.g. Dell / HP, as a part of fundamental security co-processor. But, TPMs are not common on "DIY" consumer-level mainboards. Both TPM 1.2 & 2.2 are supported on Windows 10 & Windows Server 2016 / 2019 natively. Note: ASUS TPMs are compatible with MSI / GIGABYTE mainboards, but have to add a "2 x 10" 20-golden-pin extension adapter, which is inexpensive. It just works!
I was looking for a TPM for my Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H v1.1. I looked for a Gigabyte TPM since the motherboard has a header for a TPM, so I ordered a Gigabyte TPM, but found out it didn't work because it was a TPM 2.0 that the BIOS didn't support. SO, I found an article by some bloke somewhere overseas that used an ASUS TPM v1.2 that worked. I did some searching and found said TPM. When I got it, I had to modify the header on the Motherboard because the TPM was too wide, but the pins lined up. Great for older motherboards
This works great on older motherboards which don't support the new 2.0 protocol. I installed it and it worked right away. Although if your motherboard does support the new protocol, I would suggest getting the newer version.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Works for BitLocker
