A Film Classic
This classic film showcases the talent and skills of Francis Ford Coppola. Fine performances were also given by Martin Sheen and Dennis Hopper. Laurence Fishburn and Harrison Ford give fine performances for very early in their careers. The location(s) in the Philippines was breathtaking. Coppola makes a "Hitchcock" appearance early in the film. Of course, Marlon Brando makes an appearance as a rogue unit Colonel. This is an epic and breathtaking film. Everything in it is at the top of all film making. The only shortcoming I find is the length of the film.
