The Samsung HW-J450 SoundBar transforms traditional listening sessions into immersive audio experiences. This product has a 2.1-channel sound system that makes treble, bass, and other effects bold, vibrant, and clear. Using the equipment in any space is simple because the hardware can recognize a wireless Bluetooth signal. After this device is connected to home entertainment equipment, its presence is unobtrusive. The bar's low profile blends nicely with electronic accessories, and the 37-inch, sleek exterior doesn’t clash with other speakers. If needed, you can mount the sound bar on a wall by a home theater since the housing is durable.Black housing is found on the subwoofer and soundbar. The subwoofer is thin and has two unique design schemes. On the left side of the unit, the housing has a speckled effect that shines in the light. Next to this paneling, the plastic covering has a grainy appearance. A silver Samsung logo is printed on the bottom of the speckled side. This iconic logo is also placed along the flat side of the bar in the right corner. Along the side of the soundbar, a large opening is present. The housing that surrounds this opening is constructed out of a shiny metal material. Within the opening, there are multiple hive-shaped vents that help air circulate.All of the buttons and ports that control vital functions are found on the side of the subwoofer. In the lower left corner, there is a slot for the power cord and an ID set button is positioned above it. A few inches higher on the panel, you’ll find two air vents that are separated by a thin piece of paneling. On the back panel, there is a large circular opening that enhances each frequency wave channel. Each component within this opening interacts with devices that are connected to the bar. Many typical ports are placed on the sound bar’s rear panel, such as an SV 0.5A slot, HDMI slot, and optical input. This system has Dolby Digital technology that processes bass effects in a dramatic manner. As music with bass guitars plays, you’ll hear rich notes and deep lows that are very crisp. Tracks will sound like they should because every component in the subwoofer speaker generates balanced audio effects. You can enjoy professional-quality music without running a cable by taking advantage of TV SoundConnect. This wireless feature can connect the equipment to compatible Samsung 3D TVs. By using Bluetooth, you’ll also have opportunities to listen to songs on tablets, smartphones, and other electronics accessories. Also, after Samsung’s audio remote app is installed on a smartphone, your phone will function like a remote control. This app has commands that control all of the system’s basic functions. No matter how the wireless Samsung HW-J450 is used, the effects will be impressive because this unit can produce 300 watts of power. When Blu-Ray movies are played, 140 watts goes to the woofer, and 160 watts is processed in the soundbar. Samsung HW-JM45C 2.1 Channel 300 Watt Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer + Remote
Hi, This is a very good moderately sounding 2.1 channel soundbar for the price. It easily defeats my name brand 60" TV's internal speakers by itself. I experienced the quality of the systems sound independently with my TV, CD's, downloaded cellular device media, game player, DVD's and Blu-ray's and was quite impressed. I then went on to interface my top name brand B[]$€ 9oh1's with it and then came the cinematic air gasping sound that you'd expect to experience at one of the state of the art Disney shows. I have the proof in my 15.5' x 11.75' living room that you don't need to spend anymore than $500.00 to $800.00 (if u can) to have very fun and exciting audio experiences with all your entertainment devices. Sound is good, but remote is a pain
I bought this sound bar because it was a Samsung and I thought it would be compatible with my Samsung TV. The optical (toslink) cable that came with it did not fit properly and it did not come with an HDMI cable. I had to purchase both separately. I now have better sound, but the sound must be turned on and off with the sound bar remote control. What a pain. Also the remote did not come with a battery (CR2032). Samsung sound bar

Great features for price
I didn't want full theater experience, but this Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer (additional plus) works great and fills my living room with great sound from any source Xfinity X1, Blue-ray player, Fire TV, Xbox 360, iPhone over Bluetooth, you name it... It's fully compatible with my Thoshiba over Regza-Link... I'm running it only over HDMI, haven't used optical at all and sound is great... If you've Samsung TV than it can connect wirelessly to it... I would have given it a 5-star rating had it not for the slowness of the unit to synch up with my TV every time I turn the TV on. There is a 15 second delay for the unit to turn itself on which is quite irritating. Tried getting help from Samsung Customer Service but nobody seemed to know how to adjust it. Samsung HW-JM45C has it's own, unique "sound"
I am an audiophile and expected very little from this system. And, for streaming music, it IS unacceptable. If you're looking to fill up your living room with your favorite sounds, consider looking elsewhere. Nothing can beat an expensive receiver and speakers. BUT, if you want an amazing, inexpensive product to add "punch" to your TV shows and movies, this may be the unit for you. With my settings (below), dialogue is crisp and clear - far better than more expensive products. And the sub-woofer's bass is powerful and well defined - without a trace of "boom" or muddiness. use in place of smaller tvs poor sound.

Awesome Sound Bar!!
Great sound bar for its price. I have mine connected to a 65" TV via digital audio. I use the sound bar to for music, video games, and movies. The sound is very clear. The subwoofer puts out enough bass to enjoy. Settings are simple to navigate. Bluetooth connection is great. The remote is small but the I do like the button design on it.
