When you need a thicker gasket with larger port sizes this one works
I have a zero decked block with angle milled heads which slightly widens the intake to head facing gap. The 1262 R4 is .090 and it appears that Felpro has improved this gasket with the R4 version so that there is a bit more gasket surface around the port area. The gasket also fit my heads tighter so it didn't have a tendency to try and move. On previous versions of this gasket I had to glue them to the heads to keep them properly located. I just got the new R4 installed yesterday and have test run the engine. It looks like it should work fine and last a long time which is nice. My heads are 2.10 x 1.28 which is a bit smaller than the R4 port size which is 2.25 x 1.40 but they still fit well. The gasket margin around the ports minimal. My intake is a port matched Victor JR. Contrary to some advertising from sites that sell these, it does not appear to be a metal core gasket but considering it is thicker and whatever it is made of it tough that isn't a concern. It would be nice however if Felpro would make the 1262S in a .090 thickness.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
