In the intervening years, Bramhall established himself as one of the most distinctive and sought-after guitarists around, performing with a dizzying array of artists that includes Roger Waters, Elton John, Gregg Allman, Allen Toussaint and T-Bone Burnett. More significantly, Bramhall had spent over a decade as Eric Clapton's musical right-hand man, collaborating closely with the legendary guitarist both in the studio and on stage. He's also produced albums and written songs for Sheryl Crow and the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Save your money, buy something else.
I've been a follower of Doyle Bramhall II's releases since his Arc Angel days. He has written, performed & released some of the best tunes over the past almost 30 years, however this release just has not "gotten it going" for me. Some of the tunes here I couldn't even tell it was Doyle. As an artist, he has changed his style as the years move on. That's a good thing. This release just doesn't feel as if he has progressed forward with music. I was disappointed.
