Excellent Film
First, let me say I enjoy anything involving A Christmas Carol. This depiction of how Charles Dickens may have come to write the story is wonderful. The cast is ace. I've watched it several times, it's that good. I recommend it to everyone...no Bah Humbug here.

Terrible title. The title is what held this movie back. Should have been called something different.
A good movie and an excellent period piece. Shows the mind work of Charles Dickens as he developed the book.

Must see movie
This is a great prequel to my favorite Xmas story (next to the reason for the season). Seeing how the characters of this epic story came to be, whether factual or not, makes the book all the more special! Love it!

Makes you think that Christmas is more than giving gifts but give love & help.
Anything Christmas is a good movie or make you think about family in the ones that are wanted to be with their family at that time of year. A good movie!

Interesting premise, story a little flat.
I liked the way they used characters from A Christmas Carol to show characters in Dickens' world and how they gave him ideas for a book that he needed to write. I found the movie a little flat though, not sure why, but it was not as humorous, or dramatic or something to make it interesting throuhout its run time.

i read the book after seeing the movie
i read the book after seeing the movie in theater. the book is like a college thesis, but the woman who wrote the script humanized it real well, and crystallized the spirit of charles dickens in almost every way and every scene.

A holiday classsic
Creative way of intertwining Dickens personal story with the characters and scenes from Christmas Carol. The acting is superb. Costumes and scenery transports the viewer to the England of Dickens era

Good Christmas Video
Similar in style to Saving Mr. Banks. Deals with what Dickens went through to write the story.
