Pretty Decent Itch Relief
I am Asian with a family history of allergies, sinus & skin issues. Due to allergies and dry skin, I will often break out in itchy spots - a lot on my hands. When I scratch, it often turns more dry and flaky and the skin will break - which hurts. This cream did a great job initially but the effectiveness seemed to subside a little as I progressively used it. If there is a Dollar Tree near you, I would buy their Vitamin E oil (4 oz). I have found this CeraVe cream coupled with Vitamin E to be a good combo. Another combo is this cream with vaseline/petroleum jelly (my doctor suggested vaseline alone). A 3rd option is this cream combined with hydrocortisone cream (also at Dollar Tree!).
For extra itchiness: CeraVe cream + hydrocortisone.
For extra dryness/cracked skin: CeraVe cream + Vitamin E oil
For some itchiness & dryness: CeraVe cream + vaseline.
The cream is still good by itself. I just find I need more ooomph with the help. I have bought the CeraVe itch relief lotion too which does okay but is not as potent or emollient as the cream (which might be good for the office when you can't have greasy hands while touching everything.) I would still buy this cream again. But the tub is so big, it will last a while.
