Power tool necessity
A great piece of kit - robust case and blades, solid, sharp (!), and easy to use. Would recommend to all households and for garden use as well - who needs a chain saw or pruning saw any more !

Worth paying that little extra for the machine your getting
Bought this model on the workout, beating & hammering i'd given an older identical model but with a smaller 940w motor that we'd bought in an auction that was an ex hire shop job! ive used this in the garden for cutting up logs from small to large & I mean big & oversize like over 12" wide or 300mm it had already been hammered & if this one with the bigger 1010w motor stands up to what I gave the smaller one then this must be the best buy on the market. A little bit pricey unless you get a bargain like I did. But then this is a lot of cutting machine for your money, ive used a couple of other makes in building but they don't stand up to this by a long shot (& im a devout dewalt man) but ive used this & I would have gladly paid the extra to have it anyway. ive now used it this weekend 17/05/20 on roots in ground with no sweat then cut a few logs up that needed doing anyway (of course I wasn't playing lol, I can see my 30 yr old son now saying no dad lol) wow what a beast, he can have it when im dead, box is extra son lol. 4x2 no problem, it just eats through it like butter, presuming your using the right blade. im no engineer but I wouldn't think twice about repairing this myself as I done the other one its that easy, spares are readily available for this model & not that expensive.

Well Built Powerful
Makita has a strong reputation for quality items,i have used many makes over the years. I was immediately impressed with this saw.Well built powerful cutting wood blocks very easy,Makita has now become my preferential choice.

Robust and invaluable
I have had this Matika reciprocating saw for years. I should have reviewed it some time ago. I have used it on many occasions, mostly fir pruning trees / cutting Uk the Christmas Tree. It is really effective. Whilst l have a cordless model, there are times when only the mains version will do !

Metal Cutting
Makita Saw is just ideal for my needs. In my opinion it is a first class tool and I recommend others to purchase this type of saw

Excellent bit of kit
Makita reciprocating saw is a great bit of kit and it's a great price to, I've bought cheaper ones (not much cheaper) and they fall apart. I highly recommend makita very good quality tool.

SAW ANY THING ONE SAW
TO saw metal, wood, plastic. just change the blade or use one of the universal blades. A truly excellent and robust saw.
