Overall very good
I was hoping for a little more reddish color but didn't see as much come out in the wood . More like a light brown dark brown slightly red combination. Maybe it was the wood I was using or something. They do say every piece of wood reacts different to stain. Overall pretty happy with my first stock refinish. After stripping the varnish and sanding stock. I applied 3 coats of this rusty walnut stain, followed by 5 coats of try oil, then the sheen & conditioner.

Rusty Walnut
I love this Stain. I did a complete restore on a 670 Winchester 30-06 stock. The results were a semi dark with a light redish brown. Then when I applied birchwood casey tru-oil It was both awesme and eye popping. I am now going to do my marlin 30-30.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Good product

Dries fast but is more prone to color variation.
Recently finished a rifle with this stain. Looks good. Pros: Dries fast. No odor. Cons: Does not seem to color as even as oil stains. More elbow grease to get an even color. Raises the grain. The luster isn't quite the same as oil stains.

Excellent wood stain
I used this stain to color my Beretta stock and forend. Easy to apply using a brush.I applied it directly without adding water and both stock and forend became reddish brown. Then i applied five coats of Tru-Oil and with each coat the wood became more rusty brown than before. Great stain for a milsurp rifle stock.
Great product, stains a very nice vintage military red over walnut. Water based so it blends nicely as it is applied, doesn’t streak. First coat doesn’t look like much but the succeeding coats get very red. Finish with tru oil.
