love the show, but...
Overall, I really enjoy the series, even with the changing characters. Jenny is still missed, and more of Chummy would be delightful. Again, they do so well with the production--sets, costumes, characters, and so on, but it is quite blatant how politically correct policies from 2014-2015 are inserted into 1960. This really isn't necessary for it to continue to be a wonderful series.

They feel like family.
This is one of the best series EVER ! I bought the books, True stories of Being a Midwife in 1950s London. Then PBS moves it to a time I can't watch. So glad I can watch the series in my home now.

The Best
I wish that this series could go on forever. I look forward to every new year of it. As an OB nurse, I find it very well-done medically. The characters are fascinating individually, and their relationships with one another are always interesting.

Heartwarming and Endearing
Don't let the midwife part put you off this show. This is a show about friendship, love and hope. Well worth a try. I love this show and can't wait to purchase season 5.

Entertainment at its best
Season four was very good. When Jenny left I did not think the show could hold its own but has come through like troopers.

Love this show!
Sad to see the series come to an end. I'd like them to start another show Call the Midwife.., the early years. It centers around Sister Monica Joan when the nuns first came to Poplar. 😃

Great Series
I've been watching this program since the beginning and it's always been so great to watch. You fall in love with all the characters. You laugh, you cry and learn about history and what these ladies really had to deal with in their day. More if a women's series. Not for children.

Reality of this 60s portrayal is excellent.
It is a gripping series and this season is no exception. The actors are superb and relate the reality of the program so well.
