Versatile, lightweight. well made. Great value.
The Akai MPK Mini Mk2 is a versatile and powerful MIDI controller for your home recording studio. It's well made and does the job, but is so compact and lightweight that it's a take anywhere, use anytime piece of kit. In fact it's so good, with so many great features, I would have expected to pay lot more.

Great little midi keyboard for Linux
Really happy with this. Bought for use with Linux Mint and Rosegarden and it works a treat (use qsynth as well). Lots of features I wasnt expecting for the price like such good sensitivity on the pads etc.

Lightweight MIDI keyboard. Great review
No cons, but its a very good product. i am satisfied and i enjoy it alot. started making beats. do buy from solid store japan, they also give you a friendly hand written note with the product.

Great piece of kit
This mini keyboard connects easily to GarageBand on MacBook Pro and allows me to create a vast range of sounds/tracks. If I purchased again, I would buy the WiFi version which is portable and with its own battery power supply.

Lovely little keyboard
Amazing little keyboard, possibly the bet 25-key keyboard out there. Some people dislike the joystick control for pitch bend and modulation, but I find it better than what I had on my other small keyboards. That said, be aware the using pitch bend and modulation at the same time can be tricky as they can't use the full range at the same time. Keyboard is good, pads are great, so are the knobs. Arpeggiator works really well, as expected. Original cable is a bit short but you can get a cheap USB-A to USB-B replacement. Finally, it does look great, particularly the white version with black keyboard, I just love it. Can't go wrong with this one.

Great beginner kit
My first MIDI keyboard and I couldn't be happier with it. Controls all make sense, build quality is solid and the keys have a nice weight to them. Great fun to use and gets results.

Akai mini.
I purchased the Akai mini as a Christmas present for my son. It was the first thing he opened and took upstairs and never left alone since. He tells me that it is great value for money and perfectly adequate for him to make music .
