Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires once again puts players in control of historical figures from China's Three Kingdoms time period. All of the characters from Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends are included along with one new member, Xun Yu. Characters can once again marry with a new feature allowing them to have children who inherit their stats and likeness. Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires' stratagems have been enhanced, as well, adding more strategy and the ability to construct "Instant Bases" in open land areas. The time of day and weather can also impact the flow of battles.<br><br>An upgraded Edit mode allows users to alter their character's facial details and customize allied soldiers, warhorses, and banners. Online features include co-op play, as well as the option to upload and download customized officers, units, and scenarios.

Same old formula
The main appeal for me is creating a character and playing Dynasty Warriors with them. If they included that in the main series I probably wouldn't touch the Empires games. The strategy component is not very deep and there are some very odd things that happen throughout it (start the game, get married, have a kid within a few months, a year or so later they are an adult and join your kingdom?) Having said that - if strategy is what you want, stick with Romance of the Three Kingdoms games instead. If you want a simplistic Dynasty Warriors where you can make your own character and pretend to make meaningful decisions while not smashing thousands of skulls, this is the one for you.

Meh. I definitely wouldn't call the cond...
Meh. I definitely wouldn't call the condition like new. The case plastic has some warping and sticker residue. But it's good enough and the game disc does work.

Great game love the series
For any dw fans or gamers who like hack and slash games, this game has strategies, economy management, political policies and more along with the battle action. (best part of the game) Highly recommend to try it out.
