Great guide for new players - PF veterans may not get a lot from it
Pros:
-Gorgeous artwork and formatting
-Loads of tips to level up your character, by class, with plenty of useful tips and advice
-Brilliant summary of basic combat tactics and options
-It also covers game etiquette basics
Cons:
-(No exactly a con): the target audience is clearly new RPG players and/or new PF players. Other type of players will not get a lot of useful information they didn't know
-Some tips are repeated several times across the book, like the advantages of power attack - not sure if I like that
-Some typos and errors (flurry of blows for monks are at full BAB-2, but book reads full BAB-1; vital strike cannot be used when you perform more than one attack per round...)
If you are new to PF and RPGs in general, get it. It will really help. If you are veteran 3.5/D&D player or an experienced PF player, you can skip this and buy some other book from Paizo (the Inner Sea campaign setting is brilliant, for instance)
