Preacher = Dogma + Pulp Fiction
Preacher is one of my favorite shows! It is serious yet doesn't take itself too seriously and is filled with varying types of humor. It has a great story, can get a little campy but also explores some age old questions. Definitely worth a watch for any fans of supernatural spiritual type shows! It's like Dogma mixed with Pulp Fiction!

preacher season 1 dvd
preacher season 1 was really good honestly i hadnt seen at when it was on cable, i did start to watch preacher season 2 so things that happened then, i had some questions on but figured amc would re run season 1 later on clearly that didnt happen its a shame that amc didnt put forth the effort it did, like on shows to the tune of walking dead and all its sub versions preacher like with into the badlands, were not amc favorites and thus were second tier and got the second tier treatment its a shame but doesnt matter to me now, getting the dvd's for both is even better

Engaging Show Despite The Critics
Haven't read the comics. That said, I also came into this show during the 2nd season. The 1st season is quite funny and engaging and really gets you hooked on the characters, especially if you like criminals and ne'er do wells. Set in small town Texas, it's basically about Jesse Custer, a criminal turned unconventional preacher (like his deceased father) and his co-conspirator girlfriend and ne'er do well, Tulip. He is joined by Cassidy the vampire, and their wild escapades ensue. I definitely recommend this if you like some comedy with your violence and the supernatural.

Love it!
I've seen the previews on other movies I've bought. I don't have cable so I watch a lot of movies. This series was wonderful! I actually spent the whole day & night watching the series. I couldn't stop or get enough! Great show & worth the price!

Totally underrated gem!
I think this awesome series may have slipped below most people's radar. Bad upon the supersweet comic books from the 90s, this story is packed with crazy, over the top, Heaven and Hell stuff. Big fun!

Preacher series one, the start of a have to have it experience :)
Once you watch one episode you have to know the rest of the story. It's a must see "gotcha" series of wth, did I just see that, an laughs!

Preacher Season One Set
Preacher is a great show. The only problem I have is that the 1st DVD in the packet was not the pilot of the Preacher season one but episodes from the 3rd season of the old Lou Grant show, even though the label showed Preacher!

The story is humorous and horrifying at the same time. I think it's meant to make people look at what their beliefs and true nature are.
The DVDS arrived in pristine condition.

Interesting Season 1 but need to give it a chance
The characters and story are a bit confusing early in the season. After each subsequent episode, both become more interesting. I like the storyline and look forward to Season 2.
