It’s very Kong yet, somehow, totally different!!!
This is the most interactive 2 player game I have played on my switch. It’s very Kong yet, somehow, totally different. The graphics are FANTASTIC and at times make me really feel like I’m IN the game. I love that we can switch out characters, ride on each other’s backs (and other things like Rhino’s) surf over spikes and on and on with the hat full of Donkey Kong Favorites (like mine train carts and swimming). In 2 player Mode this game is the meaning of cooperation and makes you work together and take turns. For that reason it might frustrate little kids but if you’ll stick with it you could use it as a teaching tool for kindness and patience. A+ Nintendo. Really... A+. As a side note, I turned my brightness down, my black corrector on high and bumped the color to 75-80 percent. It made the graphics more glossy.

Classic
All due respect to Kirby Star Allies, but with Tropical Freeze now on Switch, it has easily taken the crown of best 2D platformer on the console. It was a thrill to be able to play the game once more with a spot of extra polish and the addition of Funky Mode and Funky Kong. Funky’s inclusion is a solid way of making a hard game more approachable to a wider audience of players.

A great modern follow-up to SNES-era Donkey Kong
Liked the SNES Donkey Kong Country games? Buy this if you're in the mood for more. This is a straightforward logical update - familiar playstyle and progression but new techniques to learn, new levels of course, and more modern graphics (though definitely looks like a Wii U game and doesn't look like they changed much for Switch.)

I absolutely love this game!
I grew up playing the Donkey Kong Country trilogy and those games were such a huge part of my childhood. I am 35 and just bought a Nintendo Switch and this was the first game I bought and I absolutely loved it. It has very challenging moments and the level design is beautiful and like no other I've ever seen. Loads of fun!

Must have for the Switch!
Great game. Look awesome. It has "easy mode" for the young ones or the casual players. Played this on a flight till my neck started to hurt. A must have for the Nintendo Switch.

Nice DK platformer
Graphics are just tiny better than DK returns. Love that there are different characters that you can choose from. If the game is too hard you can use Funky Kong which will make the game easier. Loved the game cannot think of anything wrong with it.

LOVE DONKEY KONG...So much Fun!!
This game is so fun and VERY addicting! Lots going on, great graphics! Had just set up my switch, 1st game I played. Didnt even charge up wasnt planning on playing yet, just played & played til controllers died lol A MUST HAVE for all nintendo players. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 👍

Super fun.
Pretty awesome if you liked the other DK games. The multiplayer can be challenging to coordinate but that adds some enjoyment as well. Def has replay value and will be fun to go find the secret areas after finishing the levels.

Donkey Kong but for kids...
Game plays good but the game is too easy to beat with original mode. Funky mode focuses on people(or should I say toddlers) who want beat it as easy as you can.

This is the best platform game ever.
I am a Dk fan and this game is truly a masterpiece. It is hard but extremely fun. Dk always have a great soundtrack and this game have one of them. Graphics are gorgeous. I recomend!!!
