A "Must-Have" for regulation.
You will have a difficult time regulating a watch without a timegrapher. It can be done, but a timegrapher makes regulation so much easier. Pros: easy to use, simple, and accurate. Cons: unnecessary artificial "ticking" noise instead of the actual sounds of the watch movement, (for that perk you have to buy the expensive machines).

Reliable, accurate and consistent.
It takes a little practice to understand how to use this timegrapher well. The manual doesn’t help with interpreting the readout. The microphone stand has a fixed metal clamp and an adjustable plastic clamp to hold the watch. I recommend leaving the metal clamp like it is (don’t wrap it in plastic) and carefully secure the watch without scratching the case. One more tip; I noticed that pressing the button with the up arrow during the readout seems to make the graph smoother and appear more accurate with less “snow” but this depends on the health of the watch movement. Overall a good product!

Well Worth The Money
Tremendous value. Extremely accurate for setting regulator on mechanical watches - if watch is running too fast or too slow, you will know in a few minutes, rather than 12 -24 hours. This allows for quick adjustments to the regulator. Also gives readings of "BEAT ERROR" to help diagnose, repair and adjust accuracy of timing between beats. This devise "AUTO DETECTS" number of beats per minute of watch, as well as allowing for manual override of this setting, if needed. And this clever devise shows you the AMPLITUDE of the balance wheel, another indicator of the health of the watch. This tool is suitable for the Professional and the Beginner alike.

Fine easy to use

A great Value for clock repair.
The Weishi watch timing machine has been an excellent investment for my clock repair hobby. I know have a deeper insight into how each of the repaired time pieces I have operate.

Fantastic tool for collectors and watch repair folks
Fantastic tool for both collectors and watchmakers! This device works exactly as described. Simply connect the cords, plug it in and put the watch to be tested, in the "saddle" and see the measurements on the screen!

Indispensable tool for any watch hobbyist
I have wanted a timer for years, and I'm glad I waited. This tool does it all! Well made, and easy to use. I can fit pocket watches and even a travel alarm I own into the microphone. Allows me to dial in a watch in minutes, where it used to take days or longer. I plan to use it on every mechanical watch I work on.

Great tool

Don't buy it
Absolutely useless tester. Checked multiple high end watches new and vintage, such as Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantine, Rolex, etc. the results are inconsistent and wrong all the time. Variations are far apart for the same watch testing multiple times.

Watch Timing Machine
My old timing machine cost me $1,700 more than 20 years ago. This unit was about $135.00 and does everything, and more, than my old unit. Excellent buy for the $$$$$$$$$$$$$.
