This stuff really works ! Ten out of ten.
We had been trying to remove dark limescale stains in the toilet for weeks, but we couldn't shift them with various cleaners from our local supermarket. Then we found out about Spirits of Salt. I turned off the water, then flushed the toilet to reduce the volume of water in the bowl. I then added one bottle of the Spirits of Salts to the toilet bowl and vacated the room - leaving the window open - as there was a chemical reaction going on in the bowl. After an hour, the reaction had stopped, and the limescale had completely gone. One flush later and all was well. Be careful with this stuff, it really works ! Follow the instructions, and don't breathe the fumes.

We had a badly blocked waste pipe. Organic stuff wouldn't touch it. Had used HCl before (spirits of salts is just hydrochloric acid). Poured about 250ml down sink and washed down with about 1 litre of water. Almost immediately the bubbles start prcolating through the water. Next morning... 100% clear. Needs VERY careful handling. This is a very strong acid.

Best limescale remover available
Toilet basin thick with limescale could not see ceramic below water line, one bottle of this removed every trace of limescale. Now I use a little every month to stop limescale build up Excellent

Not for the faint hearted.
Definitely keep it away from the uninitiated. This product has a multitude of uses. Used in accordance with the necessary safety guidelines and protective equipment renders good results. I like to keep this handy as we live in a hard water area limescale can be a problem which this product sorts out in seconds.

Bath Stains
Though it is not for this purpose I was recommended by a chemist many years ago to use it. The bathe had a drip stain from the taps & rust around the plughole. I put some on a scouring sponge & rubbed then rinsed. It removed both successfully & looks new ! Jane Reade

Also brilliant for killing small tree stumps and invasive plants
Very strong stuff to be used with caution. Apart from being a very strong cleaner, this was recommended to me years ago as being a good killer for small bush/tree stumps - drill a few holes to pour in the liquid. Has never failed unlike some bespoke tree stump and invasive plant killers.

This stuff works but be careful!
This stuff is a really strong acid so use very carefully. I recommend nitrile gloves and eye of protection and keep well out of the way of children. It must be used in well ventilated conditions so keep the extractoer fan going if you have one.

Amazing, Powerful, and faultless
This stuff was recommended to me by an older friend - I’d never heard of it, but it really is amazing stuff. It cleaned my toilet leaving the inside sparkling, and I’d even used it when there appeared to be some kind of blockage too. Be careful when using this though, because the fumes are so strong.

As yet unused
I had to answer yes or no to comment on the product and I have no doubt it works as stated as it was recommended to me, I cannot rate the value or quality as the product will not be used untill the summer, although good sevice and delivered on time
