Great sounding pedal, but lacks flexibility.
great sounding pedal. the compressor is awesome, even though you can't edit the compressor values like you can on the spectracomp pedal, there are enough canned compressor patches available for download that you should be able to find something that works for you. The EQ options are good and it sounds great. For me though, it just lacked the flexibility i needed, so i sent mine back. If you only have one instrument and only one sound, it's great. when you have multiple basses and switch back and forth between them, it is a pain to have to re-eq everything for each bass. And the overdrive feature is pretty much useless. All the drive patches you can download (there very many, and you can't create your own) sounded pretty crappy. I read where you have to adjust the gain knob to get them to sound right, but if you do that, then you've messed up your gain structure for the clean sound when you turn the drive off.
If this pedal had a separate gain channel, where you could set a dedicated gain and EQ for the Overdrive/distortion and a separate gain and EQ for the clean channel and leave them, I would have kept it. As it is, it would require too much fiddling with knobs every time you turned the drive on or off or switched instruments.during a live show to be useful. For that flexibiilty alone, the ability to have full pre-set patches you can switch between at the push of a foot switch, I will stick with my Zoom B3n.
