Pumptrol Water Pressure Switch with manual reset
This is my standard go to pump pressure switch. I keep a spare on hand in case I need it or my neighbor needs one. Each one I've bought lasts for about 15 years being mounted outside on the pressure tank with little maintenance. I live in Florida so there is no problem with freezing. This model has a manual reset switch with OFF, START, AUTO handle positions. That means that if the water pressure in the system drops below about 20psi this switch will trip off and will not start unless a person holds the lever in the START postion until water pressure reaches over 20psi. At over 20psi the lever can be moved to the AUTO postion and the pump will operate automatically. This manual restart feature prevents damage to the well pump from running dry in the event of a pipe break, a water hose is left on unintentionally, or (in my case) a power outage when some faucet or hose was on. The cost for this model over the automatically restarting switch is only a few dollars. The only problem I've had with the switch is that in cold or wet weather ants will sometimes get caught between the electrical contact points preventing the pump from starting. turning off the power and cleaning the points solves the problem.

Square D works. Beware knockoffs--some have issues.
This Square D brand works like the instructions say. I bought a knockoff from a local big hardware store and the cutoff wouldn't drop below 68psi (I have a 75psi blowout). So I had to adjust the lower cutoff to 35psi (range 35-68psi) to keep the blowout from flooding the place.

Affordable quality.
This water pump pressure switch is the same kind we have had on our system for 19 years. Our old one went bad so we replaced it with the new Square D that I keep as our replacement. The new one that we just purchased is now our future replacement. It is a high quality switch that was affordable and was shipped quickly.

Better than aftermarket ones.
After adjusting this to the correct pressure, this switch works as it should. I would buy this above the aftermarket ones. This Square D is more reliable than the aftermarket one I had before which lasted only 2 years (the contacts were burned up). To review this product after 2 months seems a bit early but since I had a SquareD before which lasted over 10 years I thought it would be fair.

Square D quality
Square D is a well regarded brand name and the quality is evident in the construction of this switch. It's the only brand I will use for a pressure switch replacement.

Buy one before you need it.
This is a square-d, It is one of the best. Install as original, adjust upper and lower pressure to your liking and you will have water. I had to buy one for my pump locally to fix a no water situation, was lot higher priced. I bought this one for a spare. Now I have a lower priced spare. Buy one now in case you need one. You don't have to go to town. Buy one now It will be good to have a spare and lower priced than going to town.

Good Well Pump Pressure Switch - but keep the bugs out
I bought this switch so I have a spare on hand. This switch is standard on both submersible well pumps that I maintain. Square D has been a reliable pressure switch product for many years. The main problem I have with them is bugs getting in and on the switch contacts. When the switch closes on the bug,it makes poor contact and arcs, eventually burning out the contact. Last year it was earwigs. This year it was ants. I am now using silicone sealant around the housing and wire entrances to prevent the bugs from getting in. I hope this works so I won't have to buy another "spare".

Great control!
I am using it on board my sailing boat to control the salt water pressure pump. It lasts 3 years in this very aggressive environment! I think that is very good for a household device. And the price for which it was offered was exceptionally good. Thank you.

They are good dependable switches
Well I haven't installed it yet so I can't say how good it works, but it is a good value, and square D makes a good pressure switch, and I have used them in the past

PUMP QUIT
OUR WELL PUMP QUIT .The pressure valve was old worn out and stuck .Got on Ebay saw this new one identical to the old one ,Bought it ,put it on and now the pump works great. What I especially like ... I did not have to go out and drive around looking for one or calling a bunch of stores I just saw it clicked on it on Ebay paid for it on paypal and in less than 2 days it was here . Happy holidays from Bob in Michigan
