Front mudguard is great, rear has a very poorly designed and weak bracket designed to easy fit - but it easy falls off
I bought the set as 2nd hand and cheap (hence good value rating and it was still packaged)- but i would have been livid if i'd paid full price. Front Mudguard - fits using an expandable sleeve - like many expensive sets - no issues. Rear mudguard uses a locking clip system on one side, with a it locking onto serrated teeth on the other - easy to fit - but too easy. Went for a bike ride - after 2 miles the rear mudguard fell off - and wouldnt go back on, had to cycle home with it shoved into my top. I have fixed it - I used Superglue to lock one side and screwed the plastic bracket on both sides with self tapping screws. (luckily Im an Engineer. I can imagine a lot of these being thrown in the bin). This is a typical example of poorly designed (and manufactured) products, that are all plastic that end up in landfills (well ive fixed mine its ok now). Easy peasy
I bought theses as my carbon road bike didn’t have any fixing points for mudguards and they were so easy to fit, I have had to adjust them a couple of times to find the perfect position but again it was so easy due to the “Velcro” type fixing. Great product.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Well designed, but tight fit on small roadbike
Bought these for PlanetX Pro-carbon with rim brakes. Due to shape of these forks they don't fit well-had to remove a lot of material with a Dremmel so they would clear spokes at fork. Had to cut extension piece both ends and rear and cable tie in place so not sure how durable they will be. I'm sure they will be a great and easy fit on disk brake frames but not on my winter bike though I'd still recommend them.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Good product but needs more clearance than older model.
Having had the crud racer 2 previously I thought these would be better. They are more tricky to fit now on a 23c tyre as wider if your forks very close to tyre. They have deleted the nut and bolt securing front guard forward tip and in the cold the double sided tape failed and I lost it so using exact same tip from crud 2 guards and bolt had to file nut down as insufficient clearance on crud 3. The Velcro fixing is actually better but on my bike a focus Cayo 56cm only 50% meets. They are very easy to remove not chaffing on paintwork and more secure than crud 2 guards but difficult to stop them rubbing on the tyre. The rear guard is a lot shorter so more spray for following riders. Have used in extreme wet and protection from spray for rider is very good. I think the crud 2 was less visible on the bike but the crud 3 is a lot sturdier so function over designBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Great light weight, removable Fenders for road bikes.
I have ridden all summer with a set of these on my road bike, Great little fenders, a bit pricey but they have held up breat and fit under my brakes with room to spare. Easy to fit mudguards
3rd set of mudguards this year, 2 pairs of sks mudguards that have been a nightmare rattling and a complete pain in the neck. 1 snapped in 2 and the other set just fall off when hitting potholes Crud road racers are extremely lightweight and fitted to bike in approx 15 minutes. Quality materials and good design, looks built-to-last.
I've only just fitted it to the bike so can't say much yet, but the material felt tough and durable, not brittle like some cheaper ones. Provides good coverage of the wheel - it would be better still if it flared out at the end where it gets further from the tyre but to be fair nobody else seems to do this either, I don't know why. Not recommended
Great looking but that’s all that’s positive I can say about the mudguards. They don’t fit properly on a hybrid bike even though advertised to fit. The plastic feels very cheap and flimsy and the colour is not exactly black when put on my black bike. Next to the frame it looks very dark green. Not happy at all. The plastic is light and doesn’t stay in one place. The holding is good but if you need to adjust them it’s nearly impossible to detach without actually pulling from the frame as the glue is not as strong. When you cycle over an uneven surface these move in all directions and the noise coming from them made me stop twice thinking something is wrong until I realised what is causing the noise. Too expensive and not worthy. I would have left a positive review if those were £5 only because of the way they look. Crudracer 3 mudguards..
Needed some mudguards for my cx bike (CANONDALE CAADX) the crudracer mk 3 mudguards hit the spot because they need NO TOOLS TO INSTALL THEM?. you just fix Velcro strips to your bike and STICK THEM ON, NO PROBS.. my bike has DISC BRAKES, SO INSTALLATION WAS QUITE STRAIGHT FORWARD, BUT HAVING SAID THAT I WOULD HAVE STRUGGLED IF MY BIKE HAD CANTILEVER BRAKES..Even with disc brakes I found them a little fiddly to install. But once you've fiddled around they DO STICK, AND IN MY OPINION THEY ARE QUITE STURDY AND WON'T GO ANYWHERE. I've put them to the test on & OFF ROAD & THEY HOLD ON WITH NO THREAT OF THEM LEAVING YOUR BIKE BY SIMPLY FALLING OFF... THE BACK MUDGUARD ONCE INSTALLED IS A NICE FIRM & WOBBLE FREE FIT, BUT THE FRONT ONE DOES CATH MY TYES WHEN I HIT UNEVEN SURFACES (ESPECIALLY GOING OF ROAD) I'M CURRENTLY RUNNING 35MM TYRES.. DON'T GET ME WRONG THE GUARDS COVER THESE NICELY, BUT THE FRONT ONE DOES CATCH MY TYRE & THERE'S NOT MUCH I CAN DO ABOUT IT.THE FRONT GUARD HAS A THINNER PIECE THAT YOU ATTACH TO THE MAIN LARGER GUARD, BUT IN MY OPINION JUST SEEMS USELESS & LOOKS & FEELS FLIMSY, SO I DICIDED TO CUSTOMISE THE FRONT ONE ONLY & I CUT ABOUT 4 INCHES FROM THE BACK OF THE FRONT MUDGUARD & PUT THIS PIECE AT THE FRONT USING TIE WRAPS RESULTING IN IT NOT WOBBLING AS MUCH AT THE BACK & IT LOOKS BETTER AT THE FRONT & OFFERS MORE PROTECTION FROM WATER SPRAY HITTING YOU IN THE FACE. ANYWAY I'VE BABBLED ON ENOUGH.. SO TO SUM UP THEY ARE CUSTOMISABLE, YOU CAN CUT THEM, DRILL HOLES IN THEM, ATTACH EXTRA TIE WRAPS TO THEM, (JUST DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO MAKE THEM FIT, IT'S DOWN TO YOU..( AND DON'T FORGET TO USE THE ALCOHOL WIPE TO WIPE YOUR FRAME WITH BEFORE YOU ATTACH THE VELCRO STRIPS??..

Great guards at a great price
Very happy to still find a pair of Crud RR mk2 available, other bits of furniture in my front fork meant the mk3 were not an option. These mudguards are excellent, lightweight, adaptable to very tight gaps and non standard bike fitments, they're very easy to put together, to one's own preference, with options for long or short guards and are extremely easy to fit and tweak when fitted for silent running. They were excellent VFM at full price, now they're not the latest version, they are absolute bargains. Looking to buy a 2nd set to keep for spare.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
