very good but lacking the learn function really robs it of an essential facility. looses 2 stars unfortunately.
Its a great device, and very easy to use. First time I've used one like this where you just download the software from the website (found it easily in less that 30 seconds) plug on end of the USB cable (included) into your laptop/PC and the other into the remote, select your TV, Home-Cinema or HI-Fi device from an extensive list (you can program 4 devices) and then just load it with one click to the remote. It also auto updates from the internet when you connect it to your device, so you should never have to worry when you get new gear. Pretty cool. Fantastic, took all of 5 mins. Loaded my brand new Sony TV, Onkyo Receiver with no fuss. However, one of my devices (the HDMI switch) I use for my game selector isn't a branded device and isn't listed, and there is no 'learn function' (where you put the remote heads together and the universal one 'learns' the signal from the existing one), so I can't use it for that device. It only works with the listed code devices. Yes there are thousands of them but the learning function, is a great fall-back when you can't find your code or have some obscure remote no one has ever hard of, and this function is missing here. Bit of a shame really as this is really the only drawback, but one that means instead of on remote, I'm still using 2.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

One of the best programmable remotes around.
Over the years I have tried many different brands of programmable remote controls and the Superior Freedom is definitely one of the best. Well made and easy to program via usb using their website. Their database of makes and models continues to be expanded to cover both old and the latest models so no trial and error entering a list of codes hoping one will work.
