Great sounding pickups. Well done, Trevor Wilkinson!
These pickups are an ideal replacement for a P 90 type on a solid guitar, in my view. They have the gnarly attack of a P90 without the annoying hum and brown nasal tone of most P 90s. They also clean up really well when you turn the volume down, especially if you have treble bleed capacitors fitted. I have 3 guitars fitted with them, including 2 Gibson Les Paul Specials. They are, simply the best suited pickups for these guitars, in my opinion, regardless of price.

Great tone and fits P90 cavity
I've used several of these pickups and they have a great humbucker meets P90 kind of sound. They look cool too. Nothing not to like at the price.

Erwartungen voll erfüllt.
In der Halsposition einer T-Style-Gitarre tut der Wilkinson genau das, was er tun soll: Er bringt einen warmen, druckvollen Sound, ohne dabei zu matschen und ohne Mikrofonie. Da macht es richtig Spaß, mal wieder dem 80s Sound zu frönen, denn High Gain mit Chorus klingt mit dem Teil richtig gut. Auch für Akkordspiel, Arpeggien und Jazziges ist der Pickup gut zu gebrauchen. Allerdings hoffe ich, dass die hohe Qualität nicht nur ein One-Off ist; denn ich habe bereits mehrere Wilkinson-PUs verbaut (Humbucker mit und ohne Kappe sowie P90s) und musste leider feststellen, dass die Qualitätsstreuung u.U. recht krass ausfallen kann.

Wilkinson WMHR Alnico v mini humbucker from vansonguitars
great sound from this pickup near to a p90 in brightness and clarity but without the p90 hum. i put this in a old satellite junior guitar with a humbucker to mini humbucker adapter. i had trouble lining up pickups in this guitar so i chose this wilkinson off vanson as it had rails insted of poles inside ,so all strings were covered. Anyway great purchase Thanks again vansonguitars.

big bright sound
Ι 've placed this mini humbucker at the neck position of a brand new guitar that I've made and the sound is rich and bright as I wanted to be because the bridge pickup is a Gretsch filtertron. Perfect match!

Nice neck pickup
Nice clean tone that mixes well with a Telecaster bridge pickup. It is not expensive, well made, and looks good too. I would not, however, put it on par with the top market brands, but it is not bad at all, so well woth its price.
