  • Buck 110 Pro Plus #322/500

Typical of Buck the action is tight and gritty right from the box because it's full of buffing compound or whatever. It needs to be repeatedly lubed and washed out to even approach acceptable. Centering noticeably off to the right. The primary grind is perfect. Secondary grinds are consistent and very sharp but there's room to be sharper. Lock up is very solid. You have to really push on the blade to get the slightest vertical flex and it's not apparent in use. The s35vn is holding a fine edge for a long time. Included is the standard leather pouch with antiqued snap cover and the inside rivet is sealed by some rubber coating. Limited edition implies this knife is a collector piece so I was surprised to see some foreign scratches on the bolster and inconsistent finishing on the micarta scales. The scales are cut and finished adequately, but polishing of the pewter shield left 'sanding' marks all around it on the scale that look sloppy and is backward in a finishing process. I bought this for the upgraded steel and scale materials but I think $100 should get you some better attention to detail especially on a limited release.

  • A modern clsssic

The only drawback regarding this knife if you can call it so is the weight. Though to be honest I like the slight heft that it has. Makes you feel like you have something substantial in your hands. And it is substantial. The S30V steel is awesome and the drop point blade not only looks great but can handle pretty much anything you can throw at it. It’s a beautiful knife. Quality is excellent and a huge step above the regular 110. Well worth it. You’ll like it! A lot!!

  • A modernized version of a classic.

This knife is solidly built, good looking, and makes good use of modern S30V blade steel and G10 scales. The weight is reassuring and gives it a quality feel in the hand. I also prefer its sturdy drop point blade to the delicate clip point on a standard 110. A handsome knife that is sure to impress.

  • Buck Ranger redux

beautiful addition to the Buck line. I've actually carried a Buck 112 for the last 50 years and it's not so pretty anymore; so now I have a dress up Buck to go with it. Great quality, great value and the best warranty there is...

  • Buck 112 Oak & 5160 Carbon Steel

This is a nice looking knife . I like the 3" blade , I think it will be a nice everyday knife , smaller than the 110 . I kind of wish the handle was just a little longer and I do not have huge hands , I can barely get 4 fingers on it . The knife came without any oil on it . It was hard to open until I cleaned and oiled it . When I ran my oily patch in the opening that the blade fits in , it came out black , like metal grindings . It took several pass to get it clean . Now it opens and closes better , but not as smooth as my other Buck knives , thus the reason for 3 stars .

  • I wish Buck knives produced more of these.

These particular Buck 112 Ranger folding knives are really hard to beat. Especially in 5160 carbon spring steel. I’m not the biggest fan of stainless, like their run of the mill lockback knives are, but I’m DEFINITELY making an exception on the steel they switched to in these knives. Much more durable steel, similar edge holding as 420hc, easy to hone. Plus, I get that classic carbon steel patina on a classic lockback design! The fit and finish are second to none. Good, stout weight, but not too clunky. My only complaint is that I wish Buck Knives produced more of these on the regular.

  • Near Perfection

Buffalo Horn scales beautifully worked and nickel bolsters make a dream Buck 110. Workmanship is excellent. My only suggestion would be a polished blade.

  • Great 112

This is an awesome rendition of the 112. The 5160 steel takes a wickedly sharp edge and is very easy to get it sharp. There is no blade play up and down or side to side.

  • Great knife

I ordered this knife as a gift. Arrived in best perfect shape. Only issue was a couple finger prints on it from bring handled. Which isn't an issue.
