Very pleased with my purchase
It has simple manual erection so no complicated internals which can't be repaired and it has eight panels. Some of the automatic umbrella's are cheaper, have eight panels, and may well be equally satisfactory but I decided against the risk. I paid more than the minimum but I am satisfied with my purchase. The last one lasted many years and was perfectly satisfactory when I unwittingly donated it and don't remember where so can't ask for it back. Ok for the money but don’t expect too much.
This is a light weight umbrella with single ribs. The main shaft is pretty thin at around 10mm and the whole thing feels quite flimsy. The handle is quite a soft and is just stained and waxed rather than varnished and I expect that it will mark and indent easily over time. Mine was also loose on the shaft and rotates through about 1/8th of a turn between stops. Not an every day umbrella for commuting but fine for the occasional use in light winds. Excellent product!
I gave this umbrella as a Christmas gift to my dad. It is such great value and great quality too. My dad is so pleased with this because he use to have one which lasted about 30 years but it finally came to an end.
