A Beautiful and Timeless Cyberpunk Saga!
I saw the Bubblegum Crisis series in original Japanese language when they made their debut in the United States in the late 1980's. I loved the series so much that although I didn't understand the language, the action and excellently drawn anime characters and machines kept me under their spell. The story takes place in 2032 after the old Tokyo was destroyed by a massive Kanto Earthquake and was taken over by a global consortium called Genom. Genom's main product are Boomers, synthetic humanoids and advanced robots designed to help mankind in exploration of space. The abuse of the Boomer technology unleashed a wave of cyber and techno terrorism, which the regular police and Secret Service are unable to stop. But a mysterious and powerful group of young female vigilantes, calling themselves The Knight Sabers have sworn to protect the city against the Boomer rampage and corporate crimes. This is an anime for the ages with beautiful art, design concepts and engaging and moving storylines and unforgettable characters. Classic Amime
