One of the best handhelds
I'm a huge fan of the Gameboy line. What I like about the Gameboy Pocket is not only its size, but how big the screen is. It actually has a slightly larger screen than the original gameboy. I'd say it's biggest shortcoming is its battery life. It takes 2xAAA batteries and it only lasts about 10 hours. For that I highly recommend using rechargeable batteries. Also, much like the original gameboy, the screen is not backlit but it gets much better lighting than the original. If you're up to it, a backlight can be installed on this little handheld. Also, for those of you who don't know, the Gameboy Pocket can't play Gameboy Color or Gameboy Advance games. All in all it's a great system!

Gameboy Pocket
This handheld system is a classic. Even after 20 years, the gameboy pocket and gameboy Color are the best out there for playing the classic Nintendo games.

Game History
It's a great device, the graphics are as good as they can be from a black and white gaming device from the 80s, and it works great with all compatible game cartridges ( which is any game BEFORE gameboy color cartridges games ). The sound and contrast setting are great too working fine. Gameboy pocket uses two AAA batteries. Buttons are working good too.

A++!!! Awesome Gameboy pocket, screen upgrade is absolutely amazing!!! Looks near mint and plays games with it without the AC adapter flawlessly!! Highly recommend this MGB-001 with upgraded screen mod!

Nice handheld
Works well. The game still saves but I may replace the battery in the cartridge anyway because if age. The system works well a few scratches but overall pretty good

Exactly what I thought I bought.
This is exactly what I had hoped it would be. The Gameboy works perfectly and the games all work. It's exactly as it was advertised.

Love it
Still works and I still use it all this time later and it plays well and the buttons and sound work great. For what I paid it's an awesome deal
