IT WORKS!!
One day I walked into my dentist waiting room & fell asleep w/in five minutes. I mentioned this to the receptionist & she said "it must be our white noise machine over there in the corner". I came home & found one on eBay & have slept EVERY time I turn it on, no matter if it is day or night! I have very keen hearing & had been looking for something to help me sleep. I previously tried a bedside clock that had the cricket noise or the waterfall noise or chirping birds & they all drove me crazy so I still couldn't sleep! I just ordered one for my son at his apartment bedroom as he works nights & MUST sleep during the day & found it difficult with all the outside traffic & normal daytime noise going on outside. Great little machine
I wish it was cheaper but if we use it for 5 years I'll be happy. It sounds like my "cabin hum" from my sleep app. LOVE the sound and how easy it is to adjust it. Our 4 year old has his toddler bed in our room and a sound machine has been our solution for space-sharing. Now I can sleep again!!
My parents bought a Sleep Mate White Noise machine back in the late 60's or early 70's. I ended up with it decades ago and was amazed it lasted for so many years! Finally, after over 35 years of using it every night it stopped working. (It only had one speed and a different on and off switch. It was also a slightly different model.) When it "died" I was distraught as I can't sleep without white noise! I don't need a modern machine with various sounds, rain, crickets, a babbling brook etc., just white noise. Since my original Sleep Mate Sound Machine was made with such exceptional quality I went looking to replace it and happily found one on e-Bay! The Best Sleep machine !!!!
Absolutely the best money you will spend, even if you don't have trouble sleeping this machine is great at muffling sounds ...... Small in size and large in good results
Works well for us in our bedroom. Just the right amount of white noise to cover up sleep disrupting noises and a nice small size which doesn't take up much space. We had been using a box fan in our bathroom but we had to maneuver around it and it was blowing on us when we were in the bathroom. We are very happy with it and we bought a second one for another bedroom. Have owned old 980 for 20 years
I use it every night, it makes me sleep like a baby and blocks extraneous noise. I can not sleep in a totally silent room, every noise wakes me plus very hard to even get to sleep in complete silence. Have the older model and still working after 20 years but bought this newer version just in case old one fails. Don't know how I'd sleep without it. Can’t sleep without it

Sound sleep!
Before I purchased this sound machine, the neighbor's dogs would wake me with their constant barking! Now I don't hear them!!! It's wonderful. The only con was the odor that was initially noticeable. Great natural white noise maker!

Have purchased 5 of these over the years, made in the USA, Love them
All still work 3 marpacs and two dohms, all of high quality, given as gifts and personal use. These have saved my sanity from outside noises, including low freq fracking, diesel engines, and other noise pollution.
