It helps you turn the patient without having to pull on their arms or legs. Older people have sensitive skin. You can turn the whole body over so you can clean them easier . If they are incontinent , it saves you from having to change the whole bed to clean them every time. The handles on it , really helps you be able to pull the patient up in the bed, so they can be comfortable. I love using it with my Mom.
