$200 for a nylon bushing
Here's the thing: This is a high quality solid stainless steel prop. So what's the problem? There's a nylon bushing in the center that slips over a stud. When I replaced the shear pin I noticed the bushing was damaged. I contacted MinnKota for a new bushing. They replied "The E-Drive prop has a bushing pressed into it with special tools that prevent the shape and size from deforming. Because a press is required we do not offer just the bushing, you will need a new prop." I doubt a press is required. This is a terrible design. The prop is virtually indestructible but the bushing is fairly easily damaged. MSRP for a new prop kit is about $200. The bushing is probably worth about a buck. As the old proverb goes, "for want of a nail the kingdom was lost."
I have other MinnKota products and generally like them but would advise against the MinnKota E-Drive.
