Excellent little kit, worth every penny.
Simply follow the instructions that are given, and diverter valve will be replaced with no major issues, although have a large thin nose pair of pliers just in case, mind didn't want to come out too easily. Once everything nicely cleaned up and new diverter valve installed, everything worked great, central heating and hot water came on as expected. The only advise, is not to rush it and be thorough and to make sure all surfaces are clean before installing new valve, should last for many years.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

great product with extra bits
Very pleased with the product, fitted easily and works well the only thing I didn't understand was what the washers were for. The cartridge can easily be replaced without removal of the diverter valve and no extra washers were required but the silicone grease was a good touch.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Divert valve
After replacement into your brand new divert valve I have had the same problem as before. Once using hot water my radiator was also getting hot. Now I got replaced into my old divert valve a new cartridge and the problem is solved.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

why pay through the nose for a brand new one
This works perfectly. And with a 12 month warranty why pay hundreds for a new one, this reconditioned unit is just as good. Makes me think many engineers will buy this but charge full price, so be aware of this.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Straight swap
Not entirely sure how necessary the kit that comes along with the valve is, (apart from the clamp that makes it very easy to pinch the clips.) none the less, for a diy job, £40 instead of calling a plumber isn’t bad.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Vaillant diverter valve

Vaillant Repair Kit
The idea behind the tool is great. However, when I repaired the diverter valve I deliberately attempted destruction of the tool to see just how good it was. The part that was disappointing was the extractor tool. After 5 attempts to extract the cartridge the nylon had worn out and left the extractor tool useless for future repairs. This tool needs to me metal as per the motor rod for durability and longevity. Anyway. Vaillant diverter valve cartridge
Save a small fortune and replace just the cartridge, only tools required: Grips (undo retaining nut if tight), screwdriver (to snap the old cartridge's locating/retaining lugs) and long nose pliers (to twist and pull the old cartridge out).Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Valiant divertor valve
Unit looked identical to failed original . but water (“****ed out “edited !!when fitted and water turned back on. measured it with a digital vernier to work out why the new one leaked so badly. Found the O rings under sized so had to muck around buying a box of O rings from Halfords so had a working boiler that night. Annoying as the original had a slight leak at pushrod.
