Still relevant today.
An important and powerful film that everyone should see. The fact that its a drama adds emotional impact as we see how the nuclear war affects ordinary people, and the two families in particular. As one reviewer said you could survive the bombs and the radiation and still have your throat cut for a packet of crisps. "Threads" Review
After reading that this was one of the grimmest, most intense, most masochistic movie-watching experiences ever, I immediately set out to find this film. Since it's only available on VHS in North America, I had to order a DVD copy online from abroad. It arrived in perfect condition on time and definitely lived up to its reputation! A frightening and realistic view of nuclear war.
