Nice item
Bit awkward to setup, item was as described it looked brand new and not used. Unfortunately the add didn’t state that these units where discontinued a few years back. So you can not access from anywhere else other than your home, which is not a deal breaker as seagate cut the support for global access. The fan of the unit is fairly noisy even if you are not accessing, so I would recommend setting it to auto switch off when not in use ie overnight. Other than that happy with the product as it gives me and the family some more extra storage for our devices. Also these can be upgraded to 8tb at least as I was told by a sea gate employee, t this was the max that seafarers tried so maybe more than 8tb but that would be at your expense to try.
