Quintessential Mingus
I can't imagine anyone interested in jazz not liking this album. It's full of Mingus great music, which sparkles with his sly humor and is propelled by his superb sense of melody. If anyone were to ask me what ONE Charlie Mingus album to get (not that one could ever be enough), this would be the one I'd recommend. Plus he was a great bass player. Better git it in your soul!
