Dated Blu-ray release, but a better movie than people say!
T3 is better than people give it credit for. Personally, I think this movie is better than any of the sequels that came after it. It sticks true to the spirit of the first two movies without feeling like a total rehash, and takes the series in a bold direction by the end.
The Blu-ray is decent, although a bit dated by the time I got to it. I'm not a fan of how the movie just starts right up without displaying menus first, or how it blocks me from pressing the stop button on my remote. It also makes use of lossy DVD quality audio, rather than the improved lossless codecs designed for Blu-ray. Would love a 4K remastering of this movie at some point!
If there were no original, and T2 didn't exist, then this would be the best movie ever. John Mostow is no Jim Cameron, but he does a pretty good job with a dog decent script and tacks on one of the ballsiest endings this side of Alien 3.
