Apocalyptic Missed Opportunity
I deliberately avoided this movie at the theaters due to the bad reviews and I am a big X-men fan and loved the reboot to an earlier period - First Class and Days of Future Past were fantastic. This was a really big disappointment even after reading all the negative reviews. First of all, the first 20 minutes are a rip off from Star Gate, the movie. After that, there is such shallow character development with the rest of X-men that it leaves you hungry after eating a meal of crackers and cheese - it's just a snack and not an in-depth movie. I think the movie may have been overly ambitious and maybe Bryan Singer, who is a great director, overreached on this one. It's just not very good and barely this side of watchable. How many lined did Apocalypse's character even have, about a dozen throughout the whole movie and most of them were ones he repeated about destroying the world? Go watch Captain America: Civil War. That's a very well made movie.

Not great
Good codition, usedDVD was reasonable price, arrived on time, played fine. I just took offense at a lot of the sacrilegious comments made in this movie regarding the main character - Elohim? Really? Among other sacrilegious comments. Aside from the the movie & x-men back story was ok.

Apocalypse!
I love the X-Men and this Film! Much better than those goofy outfits and Stupid story lines that Disney or Sony shoves down our throats usually! I love this Installment!

Special FX Extraordinaire
No real plot to speak of. Character development was finished in other episodes. But anyone who develops computer animation will DEEPLY appreciate the artistry. Magnifique!

Almost a 100%
Big Xmen fan, and this one could have been a tad bit more entertaining had they really let Apocalypse display all the powers that he is known for in in the comics.

The Movie was decent enough - worth seeing ...
Lot's of little nuance changes due to timeline from previous movie and it went deeper into earlier personality development of other known characters ...I especially liked the short tie in with the wolverine character... So I say - this was worth seeing for sure, it's just maybe not quite as exciting as some of the previous movies... it has a little more cerebral content to indulge you with if your smart enough to see it...

X-men apocalypse
I am so happy to have x-men apocalypse in my DVD collection and to complete the x-men movies for now this was one of the best movies of the summer & is in my top movies of 2015 I hope they make more of these movies I love the way every mutant in the movie was awesome & they perfectly made the dark phoenix perfect casting the hole movie is perfect & I hope they make more in the near future go watch & buy this movie now ☺😊😀😃😄

Rental Format is Bad
The movie itself is great but this DVD is one made for rental companies. When I put it in my DVD player the movie showed up as a small rectangle in the middle of the screen. I am assuming this is because it made differently for rental companies. I do not like the format...a movie should fill the screen or at least only have the thin black line above and below. So, while I give the movie itself 5 stars for its entertainment value, I would not advise the purchase of any movie that is listed as made for "rental" distribution. I went to Best Buy and bought another copy of the movie in regular wide screen format.

Great stories. Great Series. Great Actors.
As in all of the marvel movies this was a good one. I loved the actors that played both the original and the prequel characters. They all did a great job. This was a good movie in the continuance of the series.
