Freeze Miami Vice!
Such a classic series, so nostalgic a true 80s classic. One of the best shows of all time. Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas, play Crockett and Tubbs two cops who team up together. To keep Miamis Streets clean and safe from, the ruthless gangsters and Drug dealers and kingpins. With every episode action packed , with brilliant guest stars . Before they became today's Hollywood Celebrities and. A killer awesome 80s soundtrack, now I never watched this when it first came out . I just saw a couple of episodes of it , I started watching it from the beginning recently and. After five or six episodes, I couldn't get enough of it . Its absolutely fantastic, highly address viewing. This region 1 dvd boxset is brilliant. Love the packaging on it too, the box is good and sturdy. So won't be easily damaged, if it fell . It's a shame there's no special features, but that's not important for me . Only a minor gripe, it's the series that's important. This is worth every penny, can't wait to watch each classic episode. Miami Vice, nice simple title for a vice squad in Miami
If you liked Miami Vice the first time this is a good way to see it all again. Or if you like good music and action will be good the first time. Not as good as HD, but pretty close. Very Good Quality Complete TV Series DVDs Set! Total '80s natalgia for me!
Great cop show that gave us great characters in Sonny Crockett, Ricardo Tubbs, Stan Switek, Larry Zito & Trudy Joplin. One of the coolest cop shows to ever grace the TV screen! I loved how in depth the show went with the storylines... then, all the characters worked so well together on screen. Along with Starsky & Hutch, Simon & Simon, Hunter, Charlie's Angels & Remington Steele... A Blast from the Past
Those of us of a...ehem...certain age, remember Crockett and Tubs when they first came into our living rooms via network and broadcast TV. (Look it up kids.) It's hard to believe it, but yes - we actually dressed like that! Anyone remember the "Miami Device"? It was a little gadget that you attached to your electric razor so that you could shave and leave your beard at the perfect "looks like you haven't shaved in three days" look. Just like Sonny Crocket, Oh Boy! Anyway, I remember reading an interview with the show's creator who said that he had been stuck in an L.A. traffic jam and was trying to think up an idea for a new show when it hit him: MTV Cops! You know, a cop show that looked like a music video complete with top 40 hits? I've been trying to think of what that would look like today. An unmarried, pregnant, teenaged cop? A group of cops all living in the same house pretending to like each other then going into the video booth to complain and criticize and put each other down? Weird! Well if you want to see the hair and the clothes and the naïve ideas of what everyone back then thought was "bad" and "evil", then "Miami Vice" is for you. Miami Vice will never be imitated!
I'm not going to give a synopsis about the show. Just look it up on google. What I will tell you is that if you have not seen Miami Vice, what are you waiting for!? Best....show....ever! The title theme always gives me goosebumps! Man I miss the 80's. So that's my "review". O.k. so that's not really helping you decide on whether to get this series or not. Well, for the money AND the quality and entertainment value of this series, it's a no brainer, get it and just enjoy it! I promise you that you won't be disappointed. The DVD's are not enclosed in jewel cases. Mill Creek Ent. uses a protective thick paper double sided card to organize the DVD's. (I assume it is for weight and space saving for Mill Creek.) The entire box set was shrink wrapped in clear plastic and the outer box container was a bit crumpled. This would likely be an issue with a collector. For me, I can deal with it. Time has not allowed me to view any of the DVD's yet. I am a bit nervous about the DVD quality - but that is due to some of the other reviews I have read. Maybe it is specific to the BluRay set. Anyway, I will catch a few episodes and update my review if the quality is not stellar. Otherwise, I will enjoy Miami and fast cars without the sunburn.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
