Rejoice Barney Miller Fans :-D
Anyone who is a fan of this classic TV show shouldn't hesitate to purchase this DVD collection. No matter what the video and audio quality grades are that one may assign this item, it doesn't change the fact that it is very unlikely that another `digitally enhanced' or `high definition' version of this series will ever be released. Most distributors and studios are decreasing the number of physical videos made each year as they turn their attention to streaming internet content. The bottom line is this is a solid set and should satisfy fans of this outstanding comedy series. If you love classic comedy, you will love this sensational television sitcom :-D

Barney Miller The Complete Series
This was one of the funniest shows on television during the 70's. It was set in a small New York City police precinct in the Village. It was about the daily grind of the detective squad dealing with a parade of criminals and victims. The humour could be subtle at times, and occasionally you had to think for a minute to appreciate it. But it was always amusing to watch the detectives "play" with the criminals or spin the situation to calm down victims. The casting of the regular actors and guests were always well done. I was sorry to see it leave network television in 1982. The DVD package comes in 4 cases, each containing 2 seasons. It also comes with the 1st season of the spin-off series "Fish". The video and audio quality are very good overall. The video quality of season 1 seems to be of slightly lesser quality. But that could be the quality of the source (which is over 40 years old). If you've never seen this series, let me tell you that it's very dated - firmly set in the mid-1970's. If that doesn't matter to you, I think you'll really like it.

Barney Miller Complete Series DVD set 25 discs.
Every episode made plus the original pilot for the series. Comes in a nicely designed box which also includes pictures of the cast in a nice booklet and bonus interviews. For a fan of the show this is great. Another bonus disc has the season one of spinoff series called Fish.

get real ...
These disks are horrible for resolution. Lot of noise - some have that fuzzy look. They appear as though some amateur burned them. Some have a choice of select episodes - others only offer 'watch all.' I will be a lot more selective from now on when I purchase from eBay. I also ordered another old move: (My Cousin Vinny.) It played OK but there is a smudge spot on the play side of the disk. Didn't seem to interfere with play back - but I'm worried that one day it might skip or refuse to go past that position on the disk.

DELIHTFUL CLEAN TV SERIES WHICH SPANNED OVER 8 YEARS.
Very enjoyable clean entertainment for television created in the early 1980's. Beside the awesome cast of actors the hundreds extra's are extremely delightful to watch, I highly recommend.

Barney Miller.
Barney Miller is great I watched it as a kid but I was to young to understand it. Now it's like watching a brand new show. All the characters are funny but I think Fish and Yamana are the best. Awesome DVD set.

A good buy for a great series
love the series. Saw it a few years ago but it is still applicable now. The many different characters in each episode make for continued viewing and moving on to the next episode. The detectives are hilarious and well acted. The media discs have been perfect. No damage or reading problems. Discs were very well packaged.

One the Best!
This series came out in the 70s when I was a kid, so I never watched it until a few years ago. Even then, I only had access to the first two season via itunes. This show is hilarious! So happy I could get the entire series! I can see why it's widely considered a classic and also why most police officers state that it's the most accurate depiction of police work ever made.

Barney Miller - great video!
Great videos!! Probably my favorite "comedy" of the era! The characters really developed over the years. So much good writing, good characters and good actors! Lots of laughs! And lots of warmth!

show is great, quality of dvds is bad on certain discs
