You can’t go wrong!
This is an amazing mono recorder. I use it to record my piano practices and I love it. It comes with all the feature one needs in a mono recorder. The auto rewind counter is a great feature. I connected this machine to my Yamaha Avantgrande N1 Piano’s aux out. It records on normal, CrO2 and metal tapes. The sound is amazing. It’s perfect for what I’m using it for. I also have a PMD 430 that I use for stereo purposes. But, for solo instrumental recordings that doesn’t necessarily need to be in stereo this is perfect.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Lightweight with great features
The Marantz monitor-recorder was a classic in its time. It was a multi-purpose unit designed to meet the requirements of nearly any real-time recording challenge. In the absence of digital technology it could be used to record from a variety of sources in real time and play back reliably with options for pitch, volume and playback speed. Built like a brick pizzeria

Review of Marantz
Marantz PMD221 was an excellent choice for me since I've been using them for the past 15 years. The two that I had broke down and this was perfect. The quality is exceptional and playback is perfect. Wonderful little cassette recorder
I caught the vintage gear bug. Wanted to get a cassette recorder/player to play around with. This Marantz is a gem. I expected it to be broken because it was inexpensive enough to warrant repairing. To my total surprise, it records/plays. I haven't used it much as I just received it, but I'm incredibly satisfied with my purchase. This isn't even taking into consideration the charitable side of this purchase. Even if it didn't work and I had to get it repaired, buying it contributes to computer classes, mobility training and other awesome stuff through blindcenter dot org!!! Excellent MONO format cassette deck
I provide analog audio transfers for Archival and Preservation along with restoration services and forensic audio. I actually purchased this particular unit as a backup tape player because it has excellent specifications for the playback of MONO format cassette tapes. Most tapes in this format were recorded by handheld recorders which are not necessarily the best for preservation playback.Bestätigter Kauf: Ja

Fantastic quality mono cassette player

Record and speaker not working
