Still a Reliable 1080p Workhorse
Still a favorite after all these years. 1080p, mic input, small lens opening means clip on wide angle and other lenses work fine. Does not have image stabilization, so a tripod or some form of stabilizer is a good idea, but for this size cameras those can be a bargain. They're near obsolete, with the world going 4K, but I still like them for multi-camera tabletop shoots. Yers, my iPhone does as decent a job or better, but I also have to use that as a phone (or a second camera). So they're nice to have around. They are also workhorses-- the Zi10 has more bells and whistles, but they tend to fail a bit more often. But if you're really using these things, they pay for themselves after a few minutes if you get a good deal. Great little camera for the price
There are many things I like about this camera. First, I really like the size. It's no bigger than an Iphone5. It looks like it will fit in most car holders that are made for cell phones which would be very nice for cool camera angles while driving. I also like that is has an input for an external microphone, it has a convenient USB port (for transferring data to your computer and also for charging the unit). Lastly, I like that the focal length on the lens can adjusted for zooming in and out. You can also use it to take still pictures at 5 megapixels. Using this camera is a breeze. Just turn it on and record the moment......simple with hi resolution.
As a senior and retired professional photographer, I never became engaged with camcorders. I purchased one Zi8 and found it to easily replace a bulkey 35mm style digital camera. So, I purchased three more as gifts, one for a friend who has been a pro photographer most of his life. He was amazed at the resolution, the capabilities, and size, to have available at anytime, anyplace. Recommend using a tripod for panning, and keeping video shots to no less than 15 seconds. Small in size with big features
This is a great product from Kodak. Too bad they don't make them anymore. It shoots excellent HD video up to 1080p and even has an external microphone jack so you can plug in a hand mic or lapel mic, a feature most small video cameras don't have.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Great little pocket cam!
I love this little camera! I have actually bought about 5 of them so far and have had 3 of them stolen, so someone else likes them too!! Very easy to use and upload videos. Photographers will love this little camera
Everything about this Camera is Great! I have taken thousands of pictures, everywhere I go, I photograph what I am doing, what I am seeing and all the pictures are excellent quality. ...... I only wish i could drop off the SD Card at my local drug store, and have all the photos Developed and Printed and get them back in a few days .... like in the old days. So most of my photos have stayed on the SD Cards and I have hundreds of photos on them. Recommend highly this camera. But be careful in not handling too roughly, as the software program can be damaged inside the camera, and then you cannot access your photos off the SD Card; it has happened to me before. My Zi8 Experience
When I found out Kodak discontinued the Zi8 I quickly purchased some spares. I've had a total of 6. I make ALL my Youtube videos with the Zi8. I've never had one break, I only got spares just incase it does. They are great cameras. I've even filmed lightning with the 720p/60FPS. Easy to use software and easy uploading. Great little video camera
Good quality from a pocket size video camera, even has a mic input which is unheard of in a low priced camera. I'm on my second one after taking over 500 gigs before the first one gave out. Bought the second and third used with the same great results. Too bad it is no longer made by Kodak.
