Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl star as legendary Formula One drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda respectively in this biographical drama set during the 1970s, at the peak of their heated rivalry. Both on the track and off, Hunt (Hemsworth) and Lauda (Bruhl) couldn't have been more different. Yet as much as Englishman Hunt's showy public persona clashed with Lauda's reputation for tightly-controlled perfectionism, both men remained bound together by one undeniable fact -- they were both among the best drivers ever to grace the racetrack. When a horrific crash during the 1976 Grand Prix at the Nürburgring nearly claims Lauda's life, however, a grudging respect begins to develop between the two racers as Hunt realizes just how devoted his greatest adversary is to the sport they both love. Excellent movie with great acting
This is an excellent movie about a important moment in racing history regarding two infamous rivals. The acting was great and both actors played their parts perfectly. Filming was incredible making you feel at times like you are part of the race. Ron Howard's best film to date. An engaging true story two rival F1 drivers that couldn't be more different. Excellant Movie if you were a Formula One Fan
I met both drivers after the near deadly crash that scarred Niki Lauda and James Hunt at the Toyota Grand Prix at the Watkins Glen Formula One Race when I worked for Toyota and lived near the race track. I've lost a few good friends over the years that were professional drivers and this movie shows both the good and the bad that come with being a world class driver. High performance Action
Having myself been a small part of the Grand Prix racing arena back in the 1970's, (what is now GP3) this movie is spot on when it comes to actual events, egos and the limelight.
