"COMBAT" TAKES THE HILL!
It doesn't get any better than this! I grew up watching " Combat" and to own and once again watch the most realistic TV show about the brave American soldiers of WWII inspires my patriotism during every episode. A lump in my throat and eyes welling up with tears has been my emotional response at the end of every episode. I am so grateful for every past, present and future America hero that was and is willing to and lay down their lives for our freedom. Thank you! May God continue to grant mercy and bless America!

The video and sound qualities are good. Disappointed in the products poor physical condition.
The video and sound qualities are good. Disappointed in the physical condition of the discs and DVD cases. Most of the discs have minor surface scratches and Season Five DVD case is missing parts that secure the disc trays. Season Four, the trays are not assembled properly. This is a Brand New, Sealed and well packaged product, therefore it is not a Seller problem but a Manufacturer Quality Control issue! I purchased a used Season Five to replace the case missing parts. The discs in the used product had similar scratches. Definitely a Manufacturer Quality Control issue!

Combat is awesome

Combat!
As a kid in the 60's I loved Combat!, My family watched it every week. I always wanted to be Sgt Saunders when playing Army,I even had a Matel Tommy Burst machine gun toy. I saw an ad on Facebook for Combat! On Amazon. I checked it out and they wanted $150! So I checked eBay and it was $53! I ordered it immediately and had it in just a few days. The box set has 5 albums in a nice box. There are 44 dvd's in all. The show was filmed in black and white and the clarity and sharpness is very good for such an old show. I was surprised at how many big name actors were on the show,Joe Campanella and Lee Marvin were in the first two seasons among others. I am still watching my way through the series,it takes quite some time to go through 5 years of episodes. If your a fan of 60's shows Combat may be one you might enjoy,I sure do and the price can't be beat!

Great show from the past!
I remember my parents watching this TV show when I was young and now it is one of my favorite shows. It's so well made and believable. The actors are excellent and the action in each episode keeps me on the edge of my seat. As far as my husband and I are concerned, this was a great purchase and a wonderful addition to our collection of old TV shows.

A great, action packed war series
The video quality is very good especially considering how old the series is, filmed in the 60s'. I do wish each disk had the titles of the episodes printed on them. There is no listing of the episodes in the package so you see the name of each episode after you begin to view each disk's menu. The plot of each episode is very good. The audio commentary offered by the directors and producers contained in some special features included adds to the how and why of the filming. I am very happy with the series.

Combat episodes 1 through 5 Series
My combat movies could not be better I bought them at a great price! I bought them from eBay. I've seen these movies for sale for $300 on other sites I bought them for $56 on eBay. I'm super happy with the way they were taken care of and never used brand new movies. Combat series 1 through 5 all I can want for Christmas! God Bless America with the future! Sincerely Gary L

Well worth the purchase
I was hesitant to move forward with this purchase because of the quantity to content and the associated cost. I had a feint memory of watching this series as a pre-teen and recalled the stories and characters being good. I proceeded to research many reviews to see what others thought and I was convinced to give it a shot. I was pleased with the box and cases used to store the discs but I’m most pleased with the quality of the content. We’ve watched the first several episodes and each of the stories were top-notch.

Combat the complete series.
I bought the set for my brother. He had been wanting them for a few years but could not afford to purchase them. When I saw the price I got them for him. He was so very excited and happy. He has already watched the 1st season. It is very much worth what I paid. I also hit it in a few days almost a week before it was supposed to arrive.

Great Portrayal of WWII through the Eyes of one US Army squad.
this is one of the greatest TV series of the sixties. It takes you from Normandy to end of the WWII through the eyes and actions of single platoon. Long before Band of Brothers this fictionalized story closely follows the actual progression of the war. Well written and acted it is considered one of the best portrayals of the fear and bravery, the slogging through rough territory and sudden terror of combat. It works with story plots that bring the Germans and the French into play broadening the appeal so it's not just bang bang boom boom.
